Charities we work with
We work with two excellent charities in Nepal and Bhutan and Steve is personally involved with both, helping with raising funds and sponsorship.

The Kailash Hotel run by the Himalayan Children’s Foundation, Nepal - The Himalayan Children's Foundation (HCF) was founded in 1997 by a group of young and energetic Nepali social workers with the objective of improving the education, health and living condition of helpless, poor and orphaned children from the mountain districts of Nepal. Particular focus is placed on the Tibetan border regions of Dolpo, Mustang, Manang, Gorkha, Baglung and Solukhumbu etc. Due to the remoteness of these areas, basic education is essentially unavailable. The main aim of HCF is to provide the children with a secure and homelike environment give them the opportunity of a decent education and, in the long term, enable them to become independent and self-supporting.

The Choki Traditional Arts School, Bhutan – CTAS is a private traditional art school established in 1999 by Dasho Choki Dorji in commemoration of His Majesty’s, the fourth King’s Silver Jubilee to help children of broken and economically disadvantaged families. It is now located at Kabesa 10 kilometers north of Thimphu city. Today they have 113 students (86 boys/27 girls) and 16 members of staff. The students come from different dzongkhags (districts) of Bhutan and have varying educational backgrounds. Some are school drop outs from classes 4- 10 and some have not been to school at all. The school provides courses in Lhadri (painting), Jinzo (sculpting; currently not being taught), Pap (carving), Thag-Zo (weaving) and Tshem-Zo (embroidery).
