Nigel Pogmore was brought up in Yorkshire and has always had a severe case of wanderlust. His first adventure was a motorcycling touring expedition around England; he then set his sights further field.
His first solo international jaunt was from (1976) York to Istanbul, covering eight thousand kilometer return trip in just three weeks (on his 750 Honda).
