Escape2Nepal was founded by Steve Webster in 2001.

Steve first came to Nepal in 1985 to take a break from his studies back in the UK. He joined the famous Tiger Mountain Group of companies where he studied wildlife and assisted with setting up and running several of their newly established Lodges and Camps in remote west Nepal and South India.

Having spent almost three years in the jungles Steve turned his interests toward the mountains and ran Mountain Travel, Nepal’s premier trekking company. This enabled him to explore many of Nepal’s trekking trails as well as venture into Tibet and Northern India. He later joined the company’s Sales and Marketing division where he travelled extensively around the world.

Steve left the Tiger Mountain Group in 2001 to pursue a number of personal interests as well as establish his own company.
